Norseman R-AF was built at Noorduyn Aviation in Canada in 1944, and was transferred to the Norwegian Air Force in March 1945 where it was given its military register, R-AF. In 1959, the aircraft was sold to A/S Solbergfly (Thor Solberg) and was given its civilian register, LN-TSN. It was sold to Sweden in 1963 where it was given the register SE-CGM. It will be flown with both wheels and floats. R-AF will be based at Kjeller Aerodrome and at Gardermoen Airport, Norway. Its engine is a Pratt & Whitney R-1340-AN-1 Wasp, the same as in LN-TEX. LN-TEX was built by Noorduyn Aviation in Canada as a Harvard Mk. II in 1944. It served with the British Royal Air Force as well as the Belgian, Portugese and German Air Forces in the years to come. In 1979 it was bought by Norwegian Anders Sæther from Scandinavian Historic Flight. It was painted in a USAAF silver paint-scheme, and have been stationed at Kjeller Aerodrome in Norway for many years. LN-TEX got a Pratt & Whitney R-1340-AN-1 Wasp radial engine giving it 600 horsepower. Maximum speed is ca. 300 km/h while cruise speed is at ca 235 km/h.
